Jarrett Lee is LSU’s quarterback.

That much we know now. He played like he didn’t know what the game of football was in the first half, but bounced back and was nothing short of awesome in the second. Auburn seemed surprised that Lee could sling the ball as well as he did. No big shock after he was 0-5 on pass attempts in the first half. The Auburn defenders seemed out of position and a little slow when Lee threw the ball as if they expected him to play like a freshmen. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles the rest of the year. It’s promising for the Fighting Tigers that their future is in good hands.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Florida manhandled a reeling Tennessee Volunteer team with big plays from passing touchdowns to kick returns for scores. It was an awesome display from a team that looks REALLY GOOD! (And a bit scary at the moment after blowing out both Miami (FL) and Tennessee)

Georgia rubbed salt in the SEC vs PAC 10 debate by demolishing Arizona St. Actually, they rubbed salt in the wound, opened up a few more and poured the rest of the bottle of Morton’s in them as well. It wasn’t even close.

Vanderbilt’s 4-0…Yes, Vanderbilt’s 4-0. Need I say more?

Nick Saban is not the favorite person in Baton Rouge because he left for a “better opportunity” with the Dolphins, and is now resurrecting an Alabama program that LSU has owned over the last decade. Alabama dominated Arkansas in every aspect of the game this weekend.

November 8^th…remember that date. That’s when Saban brings the Tide back to Baton Rouge. Might be the game of the year.
