It’s been interesting to see some of the jerseys for teams that aren’t regulars at the World Cup. More often than not, it’s difficult to come up with a good design for the newbies because there’s not much history to go on. New Zealand’s simple jersey’s come to mind, with the all white and black tops. North Korea is another nation that only made it once before, and their jersey’s don’t have much character either. I think Joma did a good job with Honduras’s though, even with the team only making the World Cup once in its not so storied history.

The white kit is simple, a good representation of a national team that works hard and doesn’t play with a lot of flair. Honduras’s flag is striped across the front, although it seems to be turned 90 degrees. It’s a nice touch, especially with the national team’s emblem emblazoned under it. I’m not a big fan of the name “Joma” across the front, but the Spanish company doesn’t have a symbol like Nike’s check or Adidas’s three stripes, so they have to advertise somehow. I don’t expect Honduras to do much at this World Cup, since tthey are in the group with powerhouse Spain and a really good Chile squad. But, they will look good in their white kit, even if it’s for only three games.
